In the division conduct of Gender And Development, Supersam listened attentively and curiously upon hearing some concepts and principles of GAD contradicting some norms and practices of Muslim Tausug in Sulu. While paying attention to the different GAD presenters, he was also in deep thought about how he could harmonize GAD with the belief and traditional diversities among Tausug men and women according to the teaching of Prophet Mohammad (SAW). In Cecile's, Supersam pointed out his view on GAD to Ph.D. Kiram particularly in the implementation of the GAD program among Sulu teaching and non-teaching personnel of DepED. He also shared ideas with other school officials from Sulu Division in a day-to-day week of the GAD workshop for the harmonization in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah as recited and interpreted by Tausug Muslim scholars who are used to deliver khutba' in the masjid during Jum'a prayer. |
